Thunder came a rolling in the wind was picking up when the common clock in Killington said 3 X 3. Fire sirens sent a howl to every single dog in town The candles lit all around a town on its knees. Angel of Death spread her wings she flew over all of them in spirals into next morning. The tower tolled 1 am the Alder house began again to shift and swing and sway and break under the strain Hazel poked her head outside though her Daddy said to hide She was only 9 and died the storm takes one. By morning light the air was grey many folks had lost their way highways in disarray A Town on its knees. Angel of Death spread her wings she flew over all of them in spirals into next morning. a town down on its knees Holes where all the house were all the trees were bent over save the weeping willow there by the creek. The creek had turned from a dream into a nightmare surfacing Now everyone recovering A Town on its knees. All the rooves were all the floors no more windows only doors Hear the yelling find the source Hide and seek Angels of Life stretched their arms Extract the wounded count the bodies and then keep moving on A town down on its knees

You Are Free 04:47
I've met some sailors on the oceans of time/Come to find their home made maps are all aligned with mine/It seems we want the same for all of humankind/to back the truck up wake the fuck up and get out of these lines/I am a sailor on these waves / embrace the choices that I've made / to live outside of a cage / I get to live the open waves / The Sky is so much bigger when you're free The stars are so much brighter out at sea. You think you'll get a chip in my head Well I'll fight you to the death I'm no good to you dead I am a sailor on these waves I am enraged by the injustice all around us it surrounds us effecting us all this place that we go shed our ego and eat off of our own plate an old tradition it's our kitchen and it's always open late/ We dine on all the stories of our kind they fill our mouths and we wash them down with wine/ The Sky is so much bigger when you're free The stars are so much brighter out at sea. You think you'll get a chip in my head Well I'll fight you to the death I'm no good to you dead I am a sailor on the oceans of time/ I look to find a reason open season on my mind why / these are unfair conditions we have found ourselves in but we keep rowing always going toward the only opening we see those who are blocking us and locking us away find that the strength inside us like a virus grows everyday The Sky is so much bigger when you're free The stars are so much brighter out at sea. You think you'll get a chip in my head Well I'll fight you to the death I'm no good to you dead To all the sailors on the oceans of time who've got a brother of a sister inside the lines / We keep shouting for a time of their release / Cause it takes each and everyone of us to bring it to it's knees / Those who were once confined (did a stretch of time) they glow like fireflies and light up the night sky! The Sky is so much bigger when you're free The stars are so much brighter out at sea. You think you'll get a chip in my head Well I'll fight you to the death I'm no good to you dead

Fern 02:34
I was singing all the time never singing from my own mind. Barely ever words I liked would come through besides “Ave Verum”. Chanting rhythmically every now and then a word would find its way in to my baby aura echoing the slightest word. Everyday I went to chorus singing songs they picked out for us. Never singing from my heart. Now is when I'm going to start. I will not shave to be your queen. I will not drink your cyber cream. I will instead live out my own dream. I will instead be my own queen; A child. Are you looking to the future? Who cleans up this mess? They’re eating from styrofoam. Why are they so depressed? In the bowels of baby boom where the televisions scream! Distracting concentration distorting the human dream. Another war and everyone stares. No one complains here. No one really cares. Some later mocked and jeered as they glared. “Which abominator will it be the year? ” A child! Children killing children over god. Everyday I went to chorus singing songs they picked out for us. Never singing from my heart. Now is when I'm going to start.

Nightmare 04:31
Soon I'll travel through your face. See it come, see it go. but you’re all alone. To some alone will be like home . You're gonna leave it. Is it here? Is it far from it? Isn't this what you were aiming for? Not about to kill the bell but are you still in favor of this? When wysiwyg rude the wake of TV guidance and I’ve got a few cents for the well. Hell, if you're still in favor of this wounded growing egg who's barely got its own way tracing lines in your skull and it grows almost on its own. Is it here? Nothing’s there! So leave! ‘Cause tide laced with lye you play the game. If you maintain what choice have I? Soon I'll crawl through your face. Soon I'll travel through your face.. See it come, see it go but you’re all alone. To some alone will be like home. You're gonna leave it. It isn’t here. This is not my place; In a cue and everyone’s blue-faced and I’m all about communicating in all forms, “What did you do today?” So, I message you and then you message me but you’re standing 10 feet away from me. “Fuck this shit,” you say, “Let’s go outside. You took the words right off of my fingers. This devolution: Media-ocoraty. Like they say, “You can cut the flowers but you’ll never stop the spring” Uprising! Arise! Our eyes! Arise! Happy blue screen in your cocoon. Strange butterfly what becomes of you?

Have you ever seen it; Do you stare? Have you ever been the Fire? Simple as Water. Simple as Air. Simple as Earth. Remember. - A new day is dawning as the love eats your fear and olde skies are are greying as you disappear into the Fire. The legend goes heart is the host; first you must be the Fire. .- A new day is dawning as the love eats your fear and olde skies have gone gray as you disappear into the Fire. Remember Love. Remember Home. Remember. Respect it! Simple as Water. Simple as Air. Simple as Earth. Remember!

Leave a message so I know what you want from me or me to want from you. Low in the undertow of my soul thoughts get lost often off topics are crossed bleeding together. I can see you in my mind you're alright, not far from fine. I want you to know... When I saw what they did to you. How they stole your face from you, from us; You had shed your body. I would have; rather, not seen. Rather replaced the memory with something anything than how they thought you should look to me. They combed out your matted hair, covered your tattoos. They-filled in all the holes. Defiled you! They covered you. They covered you in their politics in their poli-talks. In their politics. Yeah, they covered you (4x) in what you never were! Though I know I could go the same way. It's not the same for me today. Though I could say, “I'd never care,” It's not like I'm the one lying dead. And I'm at your grave. There's your name; I see the way that it's written is wrong. Your face rearranged, airbrushed like a filthy Ad. Your corpse defiled all in the name of lies! We all know who you are! Thank you for being my friend. It's an honor to have known you. You warm my heart and i'm trying to let you rest in peace rest in peace. Just rest *a knock to Eshu*

Dementia 03:47
My favorite dream in Oaklandtown, my second home. My favorite, tell me all the fun we had how we were bad at hiding our arms around each others' death. You took that step before I took a walk through Piedmont where spiders came and spelled your name out in the parking lot. And I'm packing up my memories, shipping them ahead of me. Can't remember half the things that happened here. You disappeared. I'm thankful when a picture comes, when it does I have a chance to remember. I miss you. I remember. I'll embrace the pain it brings. Though this stings I'm feeling something. Why embrace the pain it brings When all these strings are forcing you to crawl to the Fates! I'll embrace the pain it brings, though this stings I'm feeling something. Why embrace the pain it brings though all these strings are forcing you to crawl.

Rope Climb 02:55
In the pages of the paper the wounds are getting worse. Cuts are getting deeper humanity is cursed You got nation fighting nation the whole world's aflame. Remote control warfare's diverting the blame. But? Don't throw that rope round your neck and pretend that nothing is sacred Don't pull that rope round your neck and pretend that there's nothing left to defend Senate's in session planning depressions, rolling recessions and outlawing nutrients. Banks all cash in and steal our rations and laugh in our face when they see our outstretched hands. Slice through the lies with the blades of your eyes shut off the Television go outside occupy for what's real What's real? The temperature's risin' There's no surprise in the drought & deception of Man. Our hopes. Our dreams. Many in need. Every cloud has a silver iodide lining So don't throw that rope round your neck and pretend that nothing is sacred Don't pull that rope round your neck and pretend that there's nothing left to defend Runnin' uphill swimming through oil spills Wading through plagues through quakes and tsunamis HAARP trains the rain says nature's to blame AID is DELAYED, behind barricades, They hijacked your waves poor Tesla I'm sorry So don't throw that rope round your neck and pretend that nothing is sacred Don't pull that rope round your neck and pretend that there's nothing left to defend

about

This debut self-titled release from The Folks Below reclaims and weaves stories from the underbelly of a burning city once consigned to oblivion.

The Folks Below have excavated a number of clay plates made by the
YerYerOwn. Each had the appearance of an ordinary piece of pottery with an incised spiral decoration on the underside. Upon closer examination we
realized the spiral had to have been mechanically produced. While researching methods available to the YerYerOwn we used a copper cone to trace the spirals. A resounding cry of joy bounced off the walls of the vacant speakeasy when the first plate was tested. The YerYerOwn had disguised these clay recordings as everyday dinner plates. It is known that the YerYerOwn employ many methods to conceal messages from outsiders. This is the first of this method we have found. Of the XXXI plates we unearthed
XI have been decoded.
The sonic “quality” of the audio we could get from the plates was not fit for a proper release so we recreated what we heard and recorded it in a state of the art studio.
